The Greatest Wealth Principle In The World

The Greatest Wealth Principle In The World

Let me start by saying this—you only know something if you are doing it. I am saying that first because when I tell you the greatest wealth principle in the world, you may say “I know that!”

But are you doing it? And if you are not then you don’t really know it! ‘I know that’ are the three most dangerous words we can string together that will stunt our growth, learning and further development.

The greatest wealth principle in the world is the value you place on money—if you value money highly then it will flow to you—but it goes deeper than that!

It is important to understand that money is neither good nor bad, it is simple a measurement for wealth and the root origin for the word wealth is well-being.

Where many people struggle is with what they value doing with their wealth or money. Most people value spending money and then wonder why it keeps disappearing once they get it.

Those that grow and compound their wealth are those that value saving and investing their money, and here is where the real secret lies.

Most people that receive unexpected large sums of money through the lottery or inheritance generally spend it all in a short space of time. Even those that value making money will often be in debt, because as well as having a high value on making money also have a high value on spending it.

Recently there was an NBA divorced widow who was given one million dollars to help bring up her children. After 10 months she had spent more than half of it on cars, vacations and home improvements. The courts then took the rest of it off her and put it in the care of the children’s grandfather.

Many would judge her for being irresponsible, or selfish and uncaring of her children, but she was simply living out the values that she had been programmed with. She would not have been conscious of what she was doing.

The great thing is that we can change our values through self analysis and being clear on what we truly wish our life to represent. Just reading this now can give you an insight and an ‘aha’ moment that will then start a chain reaction in your life.

Those that value saving and investing money, pay themselves first. Before they pay bills or spend anything, they invest their money into something that is likely to grow in interest. Even if they are not able to see any viable investment opportunities they will save their money until something presents itself.

The bottom line is that there are no excuses. Start today, even if it is a very small amount each week, it is creating the habit which is most important.

Todays power question: “How can saving and investing my wealth improve my life, others and serve the greater good?” Write down as many answers to this as possible! If you can reach 200 answers then this will completely shift your values and point of view around money.

Todays power statement: “money flows to me constantly and I grow my wealth through saving and investing!”
