Four months after starting Matthew’s program, I have shed two stone and am supremely confident of releasing the other 4 stone I need to. If you think two stone is not much in four months, then let me tell you I have shed two stone in far shorter periods many many times in my life before – and guess what – yes of course, it all went back on in the same period. I have never focused on releasing weight for this long in my life before so I am delighted it’s slow – I know it will work! If you were suffering from Anorexia or Bulimia, there would be a lot of help out there for you. Overeating is a different issue but no less an eating disorder – Thank God for people like Matthew. Like the aforementioned conditions, my eating disorder required help in mind and in body. What he doesn’t know about health and fitness for the mind, body and soul is not really worth knowing. Four months on I feel full of energy and vitality, and I am more eager than ever to get to the final target (doing it the way I have been i.e. without feeling I am “on a diet”). I cannot stress the fitness issue enough. I can run upstairs, I don’t groan when getting out of a chair and even the dodgy knees I thought I had have now miraculously healed themselves. I was in that old vicious circle, can’t exercise, too fat, can’t lose weight – what’s the point, may as well give up! Matthew taught me about twenty different weight loss hints and tips – all of which require just a simple habit forming exercise. Two simple examples are drinking two litres of water a day and chewing your food fifty times. If you think these two (of about twenty) tips are too silly or insignificant to bother with and will never work, then consider this: I have been fortunate to go on holiday twice since starting this program and have had countless “moment’s of truth” in the business environment where poor nutrition was all around me. My ambition is to create a new sustainable way of life whilst achieving my target weight and fitness level. I wanted my new healthy way of life to involve a few tapas and San Miguel’s in Spain and a few crusty hunks of French bread and Cheese in France. I managed to go on both holidays and not put on weight and quite frankly denied myself nothing. Break free now, anyone can do it!
