Four Classes of Human Experience

Welcome Member,

I honour and acknowledge you for your commitment to growth and learning, and to taking your life to the next level.

What I am going to share with you this month is the Four Classes of Human Experience, which when understood and applied to your life's daily actions will give you a benchmark of how to live your life and the standards that will serve you at your highest level.

A Class One Experience is something that feels good, is good for you, is good for others, and serves the greater good.  Just to give you an example from my own life: I teach Martial Arts and I love it.  It definitely feels good, it is good for me, it is good for others (meaning my students) and really anyone they have an interaction with. It also serves the greater good as it is a positive empowering thing to do; it is a natural co-operative flow of energy in accordance with natures laws.  So there I just ticked all the boxes for a Class One experience.  Now quickly jot down any Class One experiences you have in your life.  If you have none, then jot down what you could have if you were committed.

Great! Now, a Class Two Experience is something that does not feel good, is good for you, is good for others, and serves the greater good. A good example from my own experience is public speaking. In the past I was terrified of public speaking even though I wanted to do it any had great information to share. I would feel sick before and throughout the speech or presentation, hoping that I was doing a good job and then beating myself up afterwards for my performance not being up to standard. So you can see how it ticked all the boxes for a Class Two Experience. The trick is to convert Class Two into Class One Experiences.  By the way, I learned how to turn public speaking from a Class Two Experience into a Class One Experience almost over night and you can do the same with any Class Two Experiences you have; you can convert them fairly effortlessly provided you have the right strategy.

This is where the real juice of life is: overcoming challenges, building confidence, self esteem and real emotional muscle. Now a quick and easy exercise: jot down some experiences that you would like to have as Class One Experiences but as yet are Class Two. These are the two Classes of Experience that you must focus your attention on daily!

A Class Three Experience is something that feels good (at least in the moment!), is not good for you, is not good for others, and does not serve the greater good.  This is a place where too many people spend too much time.  A few examples would be getting drunk, taking drugs, eating junk food, watching trash television and any kind of escapism or distraction from life.

Escapism is not necessarily a bad thing, we all need a break at times.  The question is, how much time do you spend there?  If it's more than 20% of your waking time then you are living an unfulfilled life, simple as that.

A Class Four Experience is something that doesn't feel good, is not good for you, is not good for others, and does not serve the greater good.  Most of us spend very little time here, and it makes no logical sense to spend any time here at all.  The thing is we are creatures governed by our emotions, and some people do spend time here.  Some examples would be: spending time with a person who intimidates you or is violent towards you; and one I think we can all relate to, and have done at some stage in our life, is laying in bed past the point where it is enjoyable then becoming bored, but feeling just too lazy and lethargic to move.

There you have it, the Four Classes of Experience.  You now have a way of categorizing every experience you have throughout every day, and would you agree that with this knowledge applied to your life you can really raise your standards to a new level beyond what they were.  Integrate and apply this knowledge to the Three Keys to Creating your Authentic Destiny and it will assist you in keeping on the track that best serves you.  By relinquishing Class Three Experiences from your life and turning Class Two Experiences into Class One Experiences, we are able to be our authentic selves and realise our potential.
